Welcome to my Personalized Care Practice

Sean O’Connor, MD | Concierge Physician | Chicago, IL

As a patient in my practice, you will receive truly patient-focused and personalized healthcare. My smaller practice size provides my patients and me more quality time together…not only to treat complex issues but to focus on prevention and wellness.

About Sean D. O’Connor, MD

“I made the decision to change my medical practice to a more personalized, patient-focused model. This change to concierge medicine has ensured that I will always have the time necessary to listen carefully and compassionately, to think critically, to coordinate with other medical professionals involved with your care, and preserve what I hope you have come to trust as the highest quality healthcare.”

What Is Concierge Medicine?

Concierge medicine, also known as membership medicine, is a relationship between a patient and a primary care physician in which the patient pays an annual fee or retainer.

In exchange for the retainer, doctors provide enhanced care, including principally a commitment to limit patient loads to ensure adequate time and availability for each patient.

Concierge Medicine Benefits:

  • Timely office visits
  • Direct communications during office hours (and after!)
  • With rare exceptions you will always be seen by me
  • Extended office hours
  • Adult dependent children of members are welcome
  • Care for visiting family and friends
  • Friendly technology
  • A strong focus on preventive medicine and long term health and wellness
  • Peace of mind
  • Personal care and commitment

Telemedicine Now Available

I am pleased to offer my patients the easy to use telemedicine option called Doxy.me as a convenient alternative to in-office appointments for check-ins, prescription refills and other routine matters. Doxy.me is accessed through a simple link that I’ll send by text or email before our virtual visit. All you need is a smart phone or computer with a webcam. While we can handle many issues via telemedicine, please note that symptoms such as chest or abdominal pain may require a physical exam. Please call my office first so that we may determine if a virtual visit is the best option for you.
